Best Practice way of Mitering

The engineered, industry-certified fitting system designed to ensure maximum waterproofing and structural longevity.

Precise tight measures & cut guide

To achieve a perfect seal, measurements must be taken from inside of the frame profile (the true inner dimensions) as detailed below.

Tight Measure Minus 3mm Principle
1

Piece 1: Exact base dimension

Cut to the exact tight/inside measurements of your window frame to set the baseline height anchor.

2

Pieces 2 & 3: Left & right clearance

Cut shorter than tight/inside frame measurements by exactly 3mm to permit proper fitting expansion.

3

Piece 4: Top profile clearance

Cut shorter than tight/inside frame measurements by exactly 3mm to round out the perfect structural fitment.

Key installation principles

Ensure you adhere to these physical limits during your site cutting and miter prep.

Under-miter clearance

The 50–60° corner fits directly UNDER the 45° corner, yielding a perfect single miter seam that forces water away.

Avoiding material collision

While degrees between 50° and 90° can be used, care must always be taken to prevent backend material interference.

Tight measure definition

Measurements are taken directly from the frame's true inside face on the left, to the frame's true inside face on the right.
